The Customer Service Program Manager will lead a team of 10-20 personnel responsible for customer service and engagement of all agencies and other users as part of the MyFloridaNet-2 (MFN-2) program. MFN-2 is a fourteen-year (seven-year base) contract with Florida’s Division of Management Services (DMS) for Harris to provide critical network services to all Florida state agencies and some 200 Other Eligible Users (OEUs) throughout the state of Florida. The Customer Service Manager acts as Harris’s primary interface to DMS in Tallahassee as well as providing oversight and management of team responsible for managing new customer sales/services and facilitating meetings between Harris customers and service providers.
Oversees and provides regular communication to customer during the design, installation and troubleshooting of the MFN-2 network. Provides customers and senior program managers with recommendations to successfully implement and manage network solutions. Works with the other project team from start to finish, including overseeing network designs based upon user requirements and managing full implementation follow-through and implementation of requirements.
Serves as point of contact between key stakeholders and the government customer assuring new service implementation remains on the critical path.
The position reports to the MFN-2 Program Manager.
BS degree in project management, sales, telecommunication, or engineering with a minimum of 12 years of experience.
Domain knowledge of the telecommunications industry, including carrier services and service billing and provisioning terminology.
Domain knowledge of Network Communications Equipment and Topology
Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills
Self-driven and resourceful in achieving goals independently as well as in cooperation with others.
Flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules, and priorities.
The ability to socialize ideas, make recommendations, and gather team consensus to move forward.
Excellent written and oral communication skills and superior customer service skills
Experience working with State of Florida Government contracts.
Experience managing and working with field service teams for service deployment as well as maintenance.
Travel Within the State: 25-50%
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
MBA and/or PMP
Experience in managing large implementation projects
Strong skill set with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) and Microsoft Project
Exceptional verbal, written (including the development of procedural documentation), interpersonal, and presentation skills desired.
Experience with network and performance management tools, security tools and appliances
Experience at the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) or Chief Information Officer (CIO) level within a state of Florida agency.
