Job Description:

  • Performs Component level troubleshooting.

  • Possesses strong general computer skills.

  • Ability to use internal systems.

  • PeopleSoft (Time Keeping System).

  • LabVIEW (Automated Test Execution Software).

  • ORACLE (Defect Tracking System).

  • Scanning route steps.

  • Entering defects.

  • Reviewing Product Status.

  • Agile (Document control System).

  • Accessing MTPs (Manufacturing Test Procedures).

  • Ability to multi-task.

  • Demonstrates ability to get to root cause on different/multiple products.

  • Ability to work in a Team environment.

  • Ability to read, and follow Procedures.

  • Ability to mentor less experienced Technicians.

  • Carry out confirmatory manual test using schematics, modern oscilloscopes, signal generators and spectrum analyzers.

  • Read, and understand schematics.

  • Troubleshooting multiple product lines/families

  • Methodically troubleshoot to component level.

  • Performing Board Level, and Unit level troubleshoot.

  • Execution of Manual, or Automated testing of Products (LabVIEW).

  • Processing of documentation for completed Product (ORACLE).

  • Scanning of Product through correct route steps.

  • Defect entry/clearing in ORACLE System for defective Product (Including RED Tagging of units).

  • Locating and proper utilization of Manufacturing Test Procedures (Agile).

  • Requiring minimal Supervision.

  • Elevation of test issues through proper channels.

  • Contributing to continuous Process, and Product improvement.

  • Contributing to, and following 5S practices in the area.


  • High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years prior manufacturing experience or 2 years post-secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related manufacturing experience

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Ability to multi-task.

  • Associates Degree in Electronics / or equivalent Military training, and experience.

  • Advanced Board Level / Unit Level troubleshoot experience

  • Ability to troubleshoot software defined radios such as 152A, 7850M, 7850A Airborne Radio etc.

  • Ability to work in a Team environment.

  • Ability to read, and follow Procedures.

  • Ability to mentor less experienced Technicians.

  • Ability to set up and control test equipment to troubleshoot failures off line from up flow testing if possible.

  • Understanding, or ability, to use serial logs to help get to causes of radio failures quickly.
