Provide comprehensive financial analysis and reporting for the operations management team. Includes forecasting and analysis of departmental expenses, capital and headcount capacity.
Prepare/deliver monthly financial reviews and performs adhoc analysis as required.
Review, analyze and provide explanation for operational efficiency metrics.
Investigate production variances as well as understanding the impact to inventory.
Working with manufacturing team to analyze Cost of Poor-Quality metrics to develop actions plans to drive down waste.
Provide support to manufacturing cost reduction teams to ensure initiatives are finically viable.
Provide analysis & reporting of the key product standard costs on an as-needed basis.
Review planning and forecasting methods used by operations finance team for efficiency, consistency & potential improvements.
Support internal & external audit requirements
Additional responsibilities may include PPV analysis and setting new product standard costs.
Provide ad hoc financial support & analysis. Make vs buy, new product introduction, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or other related field and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience or Graduate Degree in Accounting, Finance or other related field and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Experience in cost accounting or operations/manufacturing environment.
Experience with PeopleSoft and an ERP system (Oracle/SAP/etc).
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
MBA or Masters degree beneficial.
Must be a self starter/quick learner with strong analytical skills utilizing advanced data analysis tools (pivot tables, access queries, etc).
Established interpersonal skills as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills as this position requires interaction with various areas of the business, including manufacturing, engineering, purchasing, product management, finance and management.
