Harris is looking for talented high performing electrical engineers to join its advanced wireless engineering team. Our team is a collection of highly technical problem solvers who create custom solutions for wireless communication applications. As a member of the hardware engineering group, you will be directly responsible for the design and development of embedded electronics for radio products and will work closely with a diverse team of software, FPGA, DSP and mechanical engineers to achieve product and project goals. Digital and analog circuit design
Schematic entry and creation of supporting design documentation
Research and specify electronic components
Participate in peer design reviews
Provide PCB layout guidance and oversee layout efforts
Collaborate with mechanical engineers to create enclosure designs
Create test plans, perform design verification testing and environmental stress testing
Document and analyze test results
Support prototype builds and product releases
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Digital and analog embedded hardware design
Architectures incorporating microcontrollers, microprocessors and FPGAs
Power path design and analysis using linear and switch-mode regulators
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Hardworking self-starter with the ability to work independently
Comfortable working in a fast paced, small team environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook
B.S. degree in electrical engineering 3.0 out of 4.0 min GPA
0-3 year design and industry experience
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Must be organized and detailed oriented
