The Billing Associate Manager is responsible for billing resolutions and collections. The role will include oversight of customer billings and cash collection as well as providing operational oversight to processes and procedures. The successful candidate will be accountable for working with project finance, contract managers, and government agencies to provide issue resolution and process improvements.

Job Duties:

  • Managing billing process

  • Resolving any disputes/issues on invoices communicated from customers

  • Ensuring prompt cash collection

  • Report aged receivables and performance metrics monthly to senior management

  • Actively manage aged receivable risk situations to maximize collections and minimize write-offs

  • Provide leadership and training to the team and intervene in issues e.g. process / systems failures

  • Develop and exhibit expert level of technical ability for all aspects

  • Take full responsibility for timeliness, completeness and accuracy and meeting metric goals

  • Build close working relationships with project finance and contract management

  • Review and improve processes to ensure a high level of customer service

  • Strong focus on process improvement and ability to review and change processes to improve service levels

  • Absolute commitment to customer service excellence

  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to getting things right the first time

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field with a minimum of 6 years’ experience; OR, Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years’ experience

  • Experience with project types such as (Time & Material (T&M), Firm Fixed Price (FFP), and CostPlus (CP))

  • Experience with the contract closeout requirements from a government compliance perspective

  • 3+ years experience using advanced applications in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities

  • Team player with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

  • Must be deadline driven, fast paced, organized and detail oriented.

  • Project Accounting and Revenue Recognition knowledge is a plus
