Harris Corporation Space and Intelligence Systems has an opening for a Systems Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Colorado Springs, CO. The individual will work in a fast-paced environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and a collaborative team setting.
Reduction and detailed analysis of radar system data using locally-developed software tools
Contribute to software tool suite enhancements to provide deeper understanding of system performance factors
Perform research, studies and analyses in support of Enhanced Mission Development (EMD) projects
Use modeling and simulation analyses to support design validation and mission benefit analyses
Interact with engineering teams and customers to identify problems, perform failure analysis to root cause, and develop solutions to correct deficiencies
Prepare and brief technical presentations at informal and formal meetings
Write technical white papers
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
2+ years of Systems Engineering or Radar System experience
Working knowledge of Python
Secret Security Clearance is required
Software tool development in Python, MATLAB, or similar languages
Experience with the systems engineering lifecycle of RF systems
Experience with radar algorithm design and characterization
Experience with radar performance simulation, modeling and analysis
Experience with radar signal processing methods and applications
Flexibility to travel for customer purposes
