Harris Corporation Space and Intelligence Systems has an opening for a Cloud Systems Architect to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The individual will work in a fast-paced environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and a collaborative team setting.
Act as a liaison to internal and external stakeholders
Develop Cloud Architecture, enterprise architecture, and software system engineering for large distributed solutions that are integral to customers’ missions
Interpret customer requirements and propose solutions to help them accomplish their mission
Generate architectural solutions using cloud architecture principles and sound software system engineering practices
Support large enterprise-wide programs and new business pursuits
Research, design, and develop enterprise-level systems
Manage the software team’s project assignments, software quality monitoring, compliance training, and technical skills development
Engage in architecture definition, technology development and insertion, and technical trades
Lead department-level talent development, including: technical and leadership succession planning, and implement knowledge transfer initiatives
Perform ad hoc projects
Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 12+ years of relevant work experience
Master’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 10+ years of relevant work experience
An active DoD Top Secret security clearance
An active DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance
Previous management experience
Experience with RESTful web services
Experience with Jenkins, Artifactory/Nexus, Chef, Apache, SVN, SPLUNK
Knowledgeable in Linux and Windows operating systems
Experience with cloud computing services and platforms (i.e. OpenStack, Amazon Web Services, Rackspace, Google Compute Engine, Microsoft Azure, Docker, etc.)
Amazon Web Services archicture experience highly desireable
This position requires the candidate to already possess an active DoD security clearance and to maintain the clearance.
