Ensure production requirements are analyzed and work assigned, based upon on capacity to achieve production schedule and departmental objectives.
Utilize ERP system and manual systems for planning.
Hands on Planning Manager responsible for the manufacturing schedule
Procedures adherence, tracking and reporting material requisitions across ERP platforms
Coordinate with Master Scheduler, Operation Managers, Material Managers and Planners to understand the forward-looking demand plan and how that will drive production.
Monitor the utilization of MRP within the production module of the ERP to confirm we are driving materials & resources needed for production.
Continuously coordinate with the master scheduler as the day-to-day operations (work-orders, finish dates, etc) differ from the long-term plan.
Directly oversees operational measures including but not limited to efficiency, yield loss, product quality, inventory accuracy, transactional accuracy
Provide weekly and monthly updates during S&OP meetings on the health of production plans.
Work closely with purchasing to make sure materials are scheduled to arrive in time for production.
Expert lead on production planning module inputs and configurations within the ERP.
Work with cross-functional teams within the Supply Chain department to develop KPI’s to track the health and accuracy of the Production Planning function.
Coordinate with finance to compile various
Develop team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
Deliver effective change leadership - driving business changes while minimizing people impact
Communicate and collaborate cross-functionally to assist team to solve operational issues
Motivate team members to achieve plan goals
Five (5) years of demand planning, forecasting and QDIP (Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Productivity) experience in a manufacturing environment. Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques, a plus. APICS certification a plus.
Communication skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business and technical information. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management peers and subordinates.
Strong background in a variety of inventory management concepts, practices and procedures.
Extensive Experience as a production planner, master scheduler, demand planner, supply planner. Previous managerial experience in production planning preferred.
Experience using an ERP system with MRP & MPS capabilities.

Strong knowledge of inventory accounting principles and controls.
Ability to create and implement effective processes & procedures.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, highly proficient in Excel (e.g., Excel formulas, V-lookups, pivot tables) and has skill in preparing tables, graphs, and charts.
Must possess strong results and goal/deadline-oriented work ethic, high attention to detail and be flexible.
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to develop and bring to completion multiple assignments concurrently.
